Topic No Virtual Keyboard

We have two new locations for Keyman technical support:

The Tavultesoft Forums are now read only.

I upgraded from 6.0.124 to the current build and lost the ability to have a virtual keyboard. I uninstalled and went back to the older version, and got the use of the virtual keyboard back.

Upgrades that remove features aren't upgrades.

Hi John,

Thank you for your feedback.

Due to financial constraints, we were forced to discontinue unregistered use of the Standard Edition of Keyman when we released version 6.2. The Standard Edition includes a 30 day evaluation period, after which time you must purchase a licence. The Standard Edition of Keyman is the normal upgrade path from version 6.0, and continues to include all the features from version 6.0.

We introduced the Free Home Use Edition as a new product at the same time as we released version 6.2. This edition does have a reduced feature set, compared to the Standard Edition, but covers the majority of needs for home users. If you have a need for the additional features, such as the visual keyboard, we would encourage you to purchase a licence for Keyman - this helps us to continue developing Keyman.

The following page details the differences between the editions of Keyman:
