After the latest update got installed I can no longer type inside Internet Explorer 7 (e.g. in address bar, hotmail, forms). The letters do not combine in the way they should. Other apps work just fine. I am using the Russian Phonetic keyboard (Unicode).
I have to say that before this update (in 7.0.240) people also reported to me problems with using Keyman in Firefox and Thunderbird. The problems were different however: when doing contextual substitutions, Keyman was deleting one more character than it should. I am not sure if the latest update fixed the other browsers (I do not have them installed), but it for sure broke IE for me.
Thanks -- Andrei

Marc Durdin Tavultesoft Staff | Andrei,
Thank you for your feedback. I'm having trouble reproducing this issue here. Can you give me a sequence of keys which works in say, Notepad, and fails in IE7 you are using the keyboard called "PhonyRus"? Also - which version of Windows are you using? If you can send in a diagnostic report, that would be helpful (Keyman Configuration, Support, Diagnostics). Regarding the Firefox/Thunderbird issue, I use Firefox on a daily basis here and have not experienced the problem as described. However, I would like to investigate it further if there is a problem that others are experiencing. If your contacts could provide me with some more information on the problem, such as key sequences that cause a problem. Kind Regards, Marc Durdin Tavultesoft Pty Ltd |
